Let’s face facts…most of us like to look good at work. The right outfit can launch a thousand deals, because we KNOW we look good. Whether your career calls for pulled together chic or effortless casual comfort, dressing the part is, well… part of the job. So why don’t our work spaces look as good as we do? Oh – you’ve been too busy WORKING to decorate? Ha! We thought you’d say that! Voila! We’ve done some of the work for you and picked a few of our favorite inspirations from Pinterest and Instagram…
Helpful hint #1: Canvas creates a Custom Vibe
Make a wall pop with canvas wrapped pin boards, inspirational quotes, calendars and the like. Adding the depth and dimension of anything wrapped in canvas instantly makes an office space feel customized. These lightweight cubes hang with simple thin nails, and look great aligned together…think puzzle pieces that keep you organized. The best part is, canvas is affordable, accessible and modular. Are you more of a minimalist? Choose a statement piece of canvas art with your mantra for work-place motivation!

Helpful Hint#2: Choose a Dominant Color
What color puts YOU in the mood? The mood for creativity that is! Whatever the hue is that calms you or inspires you the most, saturate your work space with it. This space is for YOU and You alone – it doesn’t need to appeal to anyone else! Unlike common areas of your home, this IS the place to do something unexpected with décor…this time the color palate is all about you.

Helpful Hint#3 Don’t scrimp on stationery!
Good stationery items are like a fancy pair of undies…they will make you feel pampered and a little decadent, even if you’re the only one who sees them!
Helpful Hint#4: Do It Yourself
A little whimsy can go a long way in any work day! Find inspiration from quirky DIY projects online and in home décor magazines. Make ‘tear sheets’ or Pinterest Boards whenever an idea strikes your fancy – it’s the unexpected details that will remind you just how clever you can be!

Helpful hint#5: Add a dash of Vintage
Old ideas might be stale in the business world, but in home and work décor, everything old is new again and fabulous! Re-claimed and refurbished furniture may even be lurking in your attic or basement, ready for a new job. Use vintage patterns and shabby chic accessories to lighten up your mood and your office. Think of your work load as a time worn antique, perfection may not be necessary in order to do the job beautifully!
